Listen, I love me some celebrity gossip–but ENOUGH is ENOUGH. We haven’t figured out yet that celebrity land isn’t the real world? Personally, I’m more concerned with the laughing my son does, the love I share with my husband, spending time with my family and oh, yeah, just about everything else in my life, than I am with who Dave Letterman or Jon Gosselin slept with this week. These men are giving our children a scary example to follow. What happened to good old monogamy or respecting your spouse? Last time I checked, sleeping around with 20-year-old women (when you are CLEARLY not a 20 year old, SINGLE man) makes you a sleaze ball, not a celebrity. The morality of our country hasn’t stepped up to the cliff edge, it’s fallen off.
When I first saw the clip of Letterman claiming he was being blackmailed and that the allegations were true, I gave him credit for coming clean. The 35th time I heard him apologize and joke and speak about the incident, I turned off my television. I’m sure his wife isn’t humiliated enough, why not keep publicising your infidelity so she has to relive the moment every minute of her life?
Jon Gosselin? DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE TO BE SPOKEN ABOUT. Shame on these shows that keep putting him in the spotlight. 3 words: Those Poor Children. Take out the diamond stud, dress your age, and act like a man. The minute you decided to have children was the day you should have grown up. None of us are ready for it Jonny Boy, but be a man.
I saw such a disturbing talk show last week. A woman was claiming that any married woman who thought her husband was faithful was kidding herself. Is that really what our marriages have come to? Are we all living the celebutard life?
