In my (not so humble) opinion, in Mac vs. PC, Mac wins hands down.  It’s user-friendly, easy to navigate, reliable and pretty.  Yes, pretty.  I am alive though, so therefore I have seen the new Microsoft marketing campaign for Windows 7.  At first, I hated it.  I couldn’t stand the people they used in the commercials or the ideas.  I thought it was completely unoriginal.  (I still do).  First, we’re a PC and now we invented the software for a PC.  New ideas anyone?

Usually, I am all for campaigns like this.  “Humanizing the product” and “Including the Consumer.”  Making users feel as though they stepped up into the creator role seems genius.  I’m not sure it has the same effect after Microsoft went through such an epic fail with Vista though.  The campaign never addresses Vista.  I wish they had creatively done that – talk about a challenge.

I’d be lying if I said the campaign hasn’t grown on me a bit.  The more I think about it the more I like it.  But, if I invented something, I sure has hell better not have to pay for it – at least not retail.

The commercials are kinda comical. Will people go out and specifically buy Windows 7 cause of them? For the most part no.

Dont think they mention Vista because so many people dont like it. Me, I never had an issue with it what so ever, So I coulda been a Microsoft Fanboy for Vista commercials I guess.

All the $$ spent is for naught, because you buy a PC, and it’s on there. Not like you have to request it.

    Done Blabbing.
